Project Manager

Project Manager Reports To: General Manager Columbus, OH Job Summary: Responsible for planning, administering and completing sales orders for production with sales engineers or sales representative. Duties & Responsibilities:
Collaborate with engineers to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company services, and to provide most cost effective ways to manufacture utilizing our capabilities. Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions. Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors. Confer with engineers, manufacturing, purchasing and other departments regarding changes and adjustments to cost estimates, scheduling, delivery, or production changes. Prepare estimate for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work. Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project as well as regular reporting. Maintaining a high level of customer service and assure customer satisfaction. Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops. Continually study to develop, improve, and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction and process improvement. Review material and labor requirements to decide/recommend whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components. Up-sell products requiring extensive technical expertise and support for installation and use, such as material handling equipment, numerical-control machinery, and computer systems. Recommend improved materials to customers, documenting how such changes will lower costs or increase production. Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers when assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years experience in the precision metal forming industry and stamping and knowledge of welding, fabrication, machining, fixturing. Minimum of a bachelor?s degree in engineering or engineering discipline or business degree with work experience in metal forming/metal stamping manufacturing or equivalent experience Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience, team building, organizing skills, in a manufacturing setting Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced skill using Cad systems. |
